Some of the biggest events start with an empty field.
When guests arrive at a finished event, they see beautifully arranged tables, lighting, décor, and an impressive tent ready to welcome hundreds of people. What they don’t see is the planning, logistics, and infrastructure that make it all possible.
For this project at Lake Lanier Islands, the T3 Event Rentals team installed a 60′ × 140′ rope and pole tent designed to accommodate approximately 850 guests. While the tent serves as the centerpiece of the venue, it’s only one part of what it takes to create a successful outdoor event.
A project of this scale begins well before the first tent pole is raised. Every installation requires careful planning to determine equipment placement, access for delivery vehicles, and how supporting equipment such as HVAC units and generators will integrate into the overall layout. The goal is to create a venue that is both functional and comfortable for guests while allowing event staff to work efficiently throughout the event.
With Georgia’s summer temperatures, climate control becomes an important part of the setup. Large commercial air conditioning units were positioned around the tent to help maintain a comfortable environment inside the structure. Power distribution equipment ensured that the HVAC system and other event operations had the electrical infrastructure needed to perform reliably throughout the day.
