  • Draping

    Description

Fabric inside a tent does two jobs. It hides the frame. It also brings the ceiling down to a height that reads as a room. A tent draping rental covers the first kind of work. Full liners cover the second.

Draping, liners and pole covers are three separate orders

Draping treats the parts a guest stands next to. Pole wraps, entrance accents and swags all sit in that group. A liner is a different order. It spans the entire interior ceiling. So it hides the frame overhead instead of the upright beside you. Pole covers fall between the two. They fit the center poles of a rope and pole tent, and they go up on their own.

Liners come cut to a tent size rather than sold by the yard. Our stock runs to the common frame sizes. A 40×40 with a gable end, a 40×120 with hip ends, a 40×140 with hip ends. So the tent goes on the order first. Then the liner that matches it follows.

What the fabric changes in the room

A bare frame tent reads as white vinyl and metal. Once a liner is in, the eye stops at fabric. The light softens as well, because it no longer bounces off bare pipe. Draping does something narrower. It gives the poles and the entrance a finished edge. That matters most at the door, where every guest passes within a foot of the structure.

Lighting changes the decision. Chandeliers and string lights hang from the same frame as the liner. So the two want planning together. Tell us the lighting plan when you ask about fabric. That way the rigging goes up once instead of twice.

    How the install works

Our crew measures the tent, tensions each panel and secures it to the frame. Panels that hang loose sag by the evening. So tension is most of the work. Timing matters too. Fabric goes in after the tent and before the floor plan. That puts it early in the schedule.

Worth putting on the same quote request: tent liners, a center pole cover drape, and the pole cover drapery options.

Add draping to your quote request. Give us the tent size, the date and the lighting plan, and we will confirm what we have open.
