Place it to the right of the knife. If the setting is already crowded, bring it out with coffee instead. For dessert-only service it can sit above the plate, handle to the right. A round-bowled bouillon spoon is a different piece and handles soup. Ask for that separately if the menu opens with one.
Planning your count
One per guest is the usual count. Late coffee service runs through more than planners expect. A spoon used once rarely goes back on the saucer. So a spare bag per fifty guests is cheap insurance.
Count in bags of twenty, not by the piece. Then the number you give us is the number that arrives. Nobody splits a bag on the truck.

Delivery and returns
Flatware goes out clean and comes back here for washing. So scraping and stacking is all we ask on the night. Bag it as it came if the crew is clearing fast.
