Description

Where it hangs
Under a tent the pendant hangs from the frame or the ridge. So the hang points get set while the tent goes up rather than afterwards. Indoors it needs a beam, a truss or an existing hook. Either way we need the ceiling height, since a pendant hung too high stops being a light. Over a bar or a table, keep the bottom of the fixture above head height.
The light it actually gives

Power and dimming
Every hung fixture needs a circuit run to it. Plan that run with the rest of the tent power rather than adding it at the end. If the room shifts from dinner to dancing, ask about a dimmer on that circuit. Warm light at a low level does more for a late evening than the same fixtures at full output.
What it suits
Lounge groupings, bars, welcome areas, sweetheart tables and covered patios. It sits naturally with rattan and wood furniture. It also holds its own against a plain white tent ceiling, which is otherwise a hard surface to give any texture to.
