  • Birch and White Dance Floor

    Description

Birch and white panels alternate across this floor, so the surface carries a pattern rather than a single tone. That is the practical difference between a birch and white dance floor rental and a plain birch one. A two-tone floor reads from the far side of a tent. It also holds its shape in photographs taken from above, which is why it suits rooms with a balcony or a drone shot planned.

Ten sizes, from 12×12 to 20×24

12×12, 12×16, 12×20, 12×24, 16×16, 16×20, 16×24, 16×28, 20×20 and 20×24. Sizes step in four-foot increments both ways, because the floor is a grid of panels. So you can widen a floor as well as lengthen it. A 16×24 covers 384 square feet while feeling less like a corridor than a long narrow floor would.

Sizing it against the guest list

Expect a third to a half of your guests on the floor at once, and allow a few square feet each. That is a planning rule of thumb, not a specification. So send us the headcount and we will work it through. Shape matters as much as area here. A square floor keeps dancers facing each other. A long narrow floor tends to split into two groups at either end.

    Ground preparation

The floor needs a flat, level base. Asphalt and concrete usually qualify. Grass and any slope do not. In that case the birch and white dance floor rental goes down over leveled tent flooring first. A panel floor shows every dip underneath it, so settle the subfloor before the layout.

    Working it into the room

Leave a foot of clearance between the floor and the nearest table. Hang the light over the center of the floor rather than around it. If the band or DJ sits on a riser at one end, count that footprint separately. A stage pushed onto the dance floor costs you the space you just paid for.

    FAQ

We typically do not, but we are happy to do this for you. You may request setup and breakdown of tables and chairs in advance during the reservation process. An additional charge will be necessary for this service.

Depending on the surface, we stake into the ground or use concrete blocks to secure the tent. When necessary, we can even stake into asphalt – we drill a hole then patch it when we remove the tent. We always secure the tent.

We can accommodate the smallest event in a 10 x 10 or go as large as a 60 x 230. Larger tents are available as well as structure tents. We can put multiple tents together to make a larger space – call and ask for more information to suit your needs.

    • Be prepared to answer any calls from a number you do not recognize – this will be the delivery driver.
    • Provide alternate contact information in the event that we are unable to reach you for delivery.
    • If you have animals in the event area, please make sure that all animal feces have been picked up.
    • Make sure furniture is removed from the setup location before delivery.
    • Move vehicles so the crew has easy access to event space.
    • Contact 811 to locate any underground power, utility, or water lines. The customer is responsible for locating septic systems or irrigation lines.
    • Mark desired tent location with flags or paint or any object which would identify the placement of the tent.

Our delivery includes a drop off to a location that is easily accessible from the truck since we will be carrying heavy / bulky items. Delivery to a basement or to a location that requires use of an elevator or flight of stairs will require additional charges due to additional time required to access the location.

Not always. If we are unable to stake the tent, we will use concrete blocks to safely secure the tent.
