Description
A gable end is the vertical, triangular end of a tent. A 40×40 gable liner rental is the pleated fabric that finishes it. The roof liner covers the ceiling, while the gable liner covers the end. Without it you get a soft pleated ceiling running into a flat sheet of vinyl. That join is the one people notice from the back of the room.
Why the end matters more than it sounds
The gable end is usually the wall you look at. Head tables, stages, bars and backdrops all end up against it. It is the only end of a tent with a full-height face. So it sits in the frame of most photographs taken down the length of the tent. Lining it means the background behind the head table is fabric rather than seams and straps.
What this liner fits
This one is cut for a 40×40 frame tent with a gable end. Liners do not adjust, so the dimensions have to match. A 40×40 gable liner rental will not hang correctly on anything else. If your tent is a 40×60 or a 40×120, ask us for the matching size instead. Do the same if the ends are hip rather than gable.
Gable end or hip end
Gable ends give you a flat vertical face and the extra headroom that goes with it. That suits a stage or a backdrop. Hip ends slope inward from the ridge, so they read softer and shed water off the corner. They also leave less usable height at the end of the tent. So choose the gable when something goes against that wall.
Leg drapes are separate
Leg drapes are not included unless you specify them. They wrap the frame legs. Without them a fully lined tent still shows bare metal at every leg. Ask for them at the same time.
