Why the insert system matters when you plan

Tufted inserts come in all black, all white, and black with white. Because the insert is the choice, you can match a bar to the linen without changing the bar itself. That also frees up a second bar. It can carry a different front in the same room. Then the pair reads as a designed set rather than a duplicate.

Black is the front that recedes. Under low light it drops back. Then the bottles, the glassware and the bartender become the lit part of the picture. So black suits a corporate dinner or an awards evening, where the focus is not the bar. White does the opposite and holds attention on the bar itself.

How many bars a room needs

One long bar moves a crowd more slowly than two shorter ones. A queue forms at both ends of a single bar, and the middle goes unused. A common planning figure is one bar position per 75 to 100 guests. Even so, the shape of the room matters as much as the count. A bar behind a structural column will always run slower than the arithmetic suggests.

Give the bar a back as well as a front. Bartenders need somewhere for ice, backup bottles and the recycling. Otherwise those boxes end up on the floor beside the bar.
