Description
Pipe and drape is a kit rather than a single product. A base sits on the floor. An upright stands in the base. A crossbar spans between two uprights, and the panels hang from the crossbar. So a Pipe and Drape Rental goes on the order as parts, and the parts list follows the run you are covering.
Drape goes by the running foot
We count panels by the running foot of wall you want covered. So measure the run before anything else. We carry drape at two heights. Eight feet is the standard, which suits backdrops, booth walls and screening off a service area. Fifteen feet is the tall option, and it comes in sheer as well as blockout black.
Sheer or blockout is a light decision rather than a style one. Blockout black stops light and sightlines. So it hides a kitchen, a loading door or a storage corner. Sheer passes light through instead. Choose it when the drape is there to soften a wall or catch an uplight.
The hardware under it
Uprights come as fixed 8-foot and 3-foot poles. Adjustable uprights run from 9 to 12 feet. The 3-foot poles are what make the low side rails on a trade show booth. Bases carry the weight. Heavy duty bases and base weights cover the harder situations, such as a hard floor with no way to tie off, an open doorway, or a spot where a passing crowd might knock a run. Valance hangers finish the top edge when a run needs one.
Trade show layouts come as packages. We build 10×10 and 10×20 booths with 8-foot backs and 3-foot sides. That is the configuration most show floors specify. Ask us to confirm those against your date, since booth stock moves with the show calendar.
Planning a run
Give us the length of the wall, the height you want and what is behind it. Then we can work out the uprights, crossbars, bases and panels. If the drape is doing a lighting job as well, tell us that too. A sheer run and an uplight want planning together.
